We are planning on doing a ride around Blanchland Moor and Edmundbuyers Common - a mixture of minor road, bridleway and singletrack, described in the 'Beyond Hamsterley' guidebook as 'outstanding'. Total distance is about 17 miles but this can be halved in length if people are feeling less energetic or the going is hard.
Nothing too technical although some steep climbs, and some fun downhill bits.
Finish in the Lord Crewe Arms in Blanchland afterwards.
Suggest bring a snack in case the pub is shut/ not serving food/ we are too late...
Meet at 10.30am at the public car park just beyond the pub Grid Ref 963 505.
Don't forget your bike helmets...
Should be several going - 6 hopefuls at the moment. Please let us know nearer the time if you are planning on coming along...
