Feb Activity day(s)

Post by steve »

I'm supposed to be organising something but I left my brain in Argentina.
I was thinking about maxing the envelope & having 2 days:
12 or 13th & 19 or 20th.
This is what I've come up with so far:
Big localish dog friendly walk up the Northumberland coast or winter ridge scramble in the Lakes (conditions permitting).
Following weekend, mountain bike ride at Hamsters or, wait for it... Road bike ride Tyne Valley :)
Any preferences?

I'd be up for something on the 19th/20th. Quite open minded but if I had to choose it'd be mountain biking.

Ok here goes:
Saturday the 12th dog walking up the Northumberland coast (own dog not essential but preferred). I was going to suggest starting at Cresswell & heading up Druridge until we get bored. If anyone has any better ideas for a destination then I'm all ears. Somewhere close to a dog friendly pub would be good.
Please post if you fancy a pleasant coastal bimble which will include cake, tea and/or a pint.

Sunday the 20th
Mountain biking, but I haven't decided where yet. Will do soon-ish.

Liam, I don't imagine the walk will float your boat but I could probably do something later in the day if you fancy a couple of hours round Hamsterley or something?

Reckon I'd be up for a bimble on Sat - can't bring my own dog, guess I could take my fish if it's coastal, but not sure if they'd enjoy the North Sea!

Just wondering if the walk tomorrow is going ahead - don't mind either way, will have a lie in if there isn't anything on the forum later on!

Hi
I guess it's a lie in, unless we get late night notification. I hope so. The forecast looks decent for Sat.

Hi Celeste. Due to lack of interest I rang Sue on Friday night to let her know that Saturday was cancelled. Unfortunately I didn't see your post until it was too late, many apologies.

Mountainbiking next Sunday is at Glentress, see MTB section for details.

Hi Steve
No need for an apology, after all, my post was after midnight!
