The Weardale Ski Club Ltd
A great days skiing yet again - the first Boxing Day skiing I can remember for many years. We have loads of snow at the moment and F2 has masses of it with all the gullies full and all the streams snowed over. The pisted runs are skiing very well, the off piste was a bit heavy in places but on F2 was superb. Both lifts were running all day and the road up is now fairly clear of snow and currently chains should not be needed (unless there is a heavy fall of snow tonight!). A word of warning however about the road - the flat section after the long climb has a short deeply rutted stretch of about 50 yards which is best taken very slowly and straddled if possible.
We are planning to ski tomorrow and the lifts will be running from @ 10am. We closed F2 at 3:15 today and F1 at 3:30 and likely to be similar tomorrow.
Below is a link to some photos that James Cummings took today if you are interested.

Those of you who have a Facebook account please have a look at the Weardale Ski Club (unofficial) website and leave comments or photos if you wish. This is also a good place to advertise to share lifts etc - I have had a few people asking about car-sharing so here is your chance.
