The Weardale Ski Club
Just a quick reminder this Sunday is the first of the summers work parties at Weardale Ski Club. The weathermen have promised warmer and drier weather and the Field Organisers have promised lots of work. There is something for everybody from digging out ditches, repairing snow fences to maintaining the hangars, de-rusting and repainting the pylons, creosoting etc. As a special treat for you men as part of the annual maintainance of the ski lifts there are lots of nipples in need of greasing!!
If you can make it we meet at 10am Sunday 14th in the carpark. If you cannot make it by 10am we will be easy enough to find!
There are currently 2 other dates set for work parties on Tues 16th June and Sun 28th. You are welcome at 1,2 or even 3 of them!

Wimbledon? Strawberries and cream? Mowing the lawn? Mother in Law round for sunday lunch?
What better excuse to get away from it all and have a great day at Weardale Ski Club for the last work party before the summer holidays. We have a fantastic variety of jobs for all to do from young to old, skilled to unskilled, dirty jobs to very dirty jobs (sorry no clean jobs). Meet as usual 10am at the car park Sunday 28th Jun. You could always bring your mother in law along - we are non discriminatory!
PS those of you who have tried to access the website will note it is not currently functioning - our webhost has gone bankrupt so we are busy trying to seek out a new host. Our apologies for any inconvenience but I can assure you that you have not missed any skiing as a result (though snow has fallen twice on the Swinhope Fells during June this year).
