Doug Scott has made 45 expeditions to the high mountains of Asia. He has reached the summit of 40 peaks, of which half were climbed by new routes or for the first time in Alpine Style and has reached the highest peaks on all seven continents – ‘the seven summits’.

Doug has compiled his stories and gathered his photographs to tell the tale of his epic expedition of the ascent of the South West face of Everest. In this special lecture lavishly illustrated with his celebrated mountain photography and coinciding with the publication of his long awaited autobiography Up and About: The Hard Road To Everest, audiences can expect to be captivated by Doug as he tells of his personal experiences that led to this defining moment and where his life took him upon his return from the summit.
