Summer walking programme

Post by pennyswaine »

ATTENTION ALL POTENTIAL WALKERS!!!
Nigel and I have got our heads together to offer a programme of monthly day walks over the Summer:-
Sunday April 26th - Nigel will organise a trip around Reeth in Yorkshire
Sunday May 17th - I'll do a walk around Windy Gyle in Northumberland
Sunday June 21st - Nigel will do a walk onto Blencathra from Mungrisdale in Cumbria
Sunday July 19th - I'll do a walk near Whitby in North Yorkshire
There will be 2 further dates in August and September when we have checked our diaries.
These will be easy to moderate day walks taking about 5/6 hours and hopefully ending in a cafe! All are welcome along - even non-members browsing this site wanting to try us out. Details of meeting times and venue will be posted nearer the time for each walk but the dates are set, so put them in your diary and come along.
Please let us know if you are coming via this thread or e mail me at pennyswaine@hotmail.com
If anyone else wants to add further dates to this programme please add to this thread. Looking forward to seeing the walkers striding out :D

July walk moved to July 12th as the 19th is a camping weekend which you might fancy trying.

Scampie and I hope to come along as well but we will confirm on Friday nite. If we are coming, Scampie will be in the boot, so I would have spare seats for anybody travelling from Newcastle/Gateshead area.
