[I copied this post from the walking/scrambling section as it also fits nicely here - hopefully it will generate to further chat about skiing :!: Phil]

I would be up for a winter weekend - Carn mor Dearg would be great, or Bidean, or something like Fiacaill Ridge in Cairngorms..

I would be also interested in a skiing or snowboarding weekend - snow is usually best between late Feb and Mid April . Prefer Glencoe for skiing or Glenshee/ Cairngorm for boarding. Less bothered about Nevis Range unless Back Corries are open (haven't skiied them yet...).

We'd be up for a skiing wend. Be good if cud do a couple then I cud spend one on nursery slope winning some browny points so that I cud go off and play on the second wend.
No real preference on location but I cud fit a bit of socalising in if went to Caingorms.

Sounds like we have some real interest here. Claire, you can easily rent equipment or if you are keen to get your own try http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Swiss-Tims-Emporium or http://swisstimsskis.com/ who is based in South Shields.
