Thursday 21 Apr
An evening jaunt round parts of the fixed orienteering course in Chopwell Woods.
Can be attempted either on foot or by mountain bike. A non competitive event, you can attempt as much or as little as you like.
Hopefully we wont lose too many, but that's the fun of it !!
Whistle and Head torches required (probably). And Compasses, (I have a couple of spares, if needed).
I will need to know numbers to arrange maps (and let me know if you want to walk or bike).
Mike

Re: "Lost In A Dark Wood"
I'd like to have a go on foot but don't have a head torch. Happy to drive from Durham- Celeste, would you like a lift? Anyone else?

OK, Mike, did you say 7pm last night? How do we find it?
Celeste, I could get you from wherever-just let me know when we have the details.
Many thanks, Jo

Re: "Lost In A Dark Wood"
So far we have:
Les, Sharon, Arthur
Celeste, Jo, Mark and Peter.
Sorry, I forgot to put up directions:
Chopwell Woods are just off the B6315, between Rowlands Gill and High Spen. The turn off the B6315 is well signposted.
Google if you are having trouble finding it, it is a very popular spot for walking, riding and cycling.
Meet by the signboard in the middle of the Car park, at 1900hrs
Grid Reference is NZ 135385
See you there
