Day Activity 1 Nov 09 HAWTHORNE DENE

Post by mike f »

Sunday 1st November.
Walk around Hawthorn Dene near Seaham.

Christine has planned a pleasant walk along the coast and one of Durham's coastal denes.
She is promising Tea and cakes at her place afterwards!!!

Meeting point. 10:00am at Noses Point Car Park, Seaham. Grid Ref: NZ436479

From A19, take A182 West. Follow the road downhill, round the industrial estate at third roundabout, take the right exit, then right again after about 100m, into the cliff top carpark area. Meet up at bottom end of the car park.

As this falls before the next Pub night please make sure you post here if you are coming.

Hi Jenny,

That's a good idea - I don't mind either driving or giving you petrol money. Is your text number still the same? Will text you to sort out where we could meet and at what time.

Cheers!!!

Weather forecast for tomorrow looks fairly atrocious, so Christine has let everyone know who has their name down to go that the walk will be postponed, possibly until next Saturday, depending on the forecast. If anyone else is thinking of going, please put a note on the forum and we can all keep in touch during the week about whether it will go ahead or not.

Cheers!!

Sue
