Ilkley has loads of climbs right across the grades and the quarry area should offer some shelter, car park is only 100m away from the first rocks and there is a pub oppsite the car park.

Hi guys tomorrow isstill going ahead, gary is going to head the day as i have to go to scotland (lochgilphead) to recover mycar that broke down last friday, its the only chance i have to go and get it, im gutted but i hvave to get it. The timing belt snapped between inverray and dalmally on friday night.
I had high hopes for today when I saw the sun shining when I left the house. However I encountered a few snow storms on the way to hamsterley so I knew it was too good to be true. There was a good turn out myself, Gary, Mike F, Duncan and Steve and we set off to do the black route. To say it was a mud bath was an understatement but enjoyable none the less. A special mention goes to Mike who lost control of his bike towards the end of the ride crashing into me knocking us off our bikes. The sun made an apprearance at the end of the ride TYPICAL!!!!!! and we all enjoyed a well deserved drink in the Cross Keys pub in hamsterley.
A good day out and thanks to everyone who turned up.
