East Tibet has been off limits to Westerners for generations. But times are changing. The mountains and unique culture are now accessible to those prepared to face up to the bureaucratic challenges. This lecture covers the cultural and climbing experiences of Mick's four visits to the area so far. The climbs are first ascents of breathtaking quality including that of the North Face of Siguniang 6250m, which won the prestigious Piolet D'Or 'best climb in the world' status. Tel. (01429) 890000.
