A talk by British mountaineer Andy Kirkpatrick
some background from the gala theatre..
Andy Kirkpatrick has the reputation for climbing in severe conditions. As the most extreme speaker on the mountaineering circuit, his stand-up talents rival top comedians.
This 100mph ride through Andy's white knuckle experiences focuses on his winter expeditions to the trecherous mountains of Patagonia in South America. He gives a taste of what major expeditions are like with tales of being trapped by hurricane winds on mile-high summits, buried by avalanches and dicing with hypothermia whilst lashed to the side of a mountain.
If anyone fancies going, let me know and we can sort out tickets
cheers, Simon

Sounds really interesting - I wonder what kind of numbers you'd need to get a group discount?

There's no group discount, but I hear that places are filling up, so probably best to book early. I'm happy to make a block booking on behalf of the club or we can book separately if that's easier.
Cheers, Simon
