Am I right in saying that the 'chill out' night is this Friday? I remember something being mentioned at the pub night but can't remember date/venue/dang all actually..... (getting old) Could someone confirm please? If there's not one planned shall we have one this Friday anyway??
Lizzie - the 'chill out' night is basically a pi*s up! We started holding a monthly 'chill out' night about a year ago with the idea that folk went to the pub after work on a Friday, with the venue being mostly in Durham, but sometimes in Darlington or Newcastle (or anywhere else people want to suggest!) Folk tend to start turning up at about 6:30 or so - as for finishing time I generally don't go home til they're throwing me out! Other lightweights go home when they've had enough (of me!)
As for the venue I'm not sure exactly where it is either (I know it's in Durham...?) - can someone post directions please??
The Garden House is up near County Hall, at the top of North road. If you walk/drive up under the railway arches and past The Bridge pub, just keep going and it's on the right at the top of the road.
Should make it along for a couple of pints at some stage!
Don't fret, we'll still be in the Garden House! Although we are an activity group we are always overcome by inertia when it comes to chill out night, and rarely move once we have secured a seat and something to drink!! C u later.
