Hi all,
Thinking of actually doing some cycling this year and just gauging interest in some regular local rides and maybe some local (ish) sportives later on.
I've just started some short rides and would be interested in some more regular outings. Best times for me are early morning on a weekend or evening. Let me know if anyone is interested and if so, maybe we could each arrange some local rides we know of.
Thinking of doing a couple of sportives later on, ones i'm thinking of are:
Northern Angel - 20th July 94m (6414ft elev) or 80m or 67m
Hexham 9th Aug 100m (10577 !!) or 77m or 65m
Mal.

Re: Road Biking
Hi Mal
I would be interested, not in the events, but in going road biking
I've been meaning to see if anyone was interested for a while.
During the week I'm only free on Wednesday and Friday evenings at the moment, but will have more time during the summer. I'm free some weekends too - mornings fine.

Re: Road Biking
I'm up for road rides as soon as it stops slashing down with rain.
I've taken my bike to work so I can try and get a couple of hours in up the Tyne Valley or around stannington. I finish work around 4pm.
I realise that may not be particularly handy for some people so don't mind driving but not far.
I'm mountain biking at weekends for the foreseeable future.
Can't do the first event but maybe the Hexham one.
If you're arranging rides just post under mountain biking & I'll keep an eye out.
Cheers

Re: Road Biking
I would be interested in coming for a road bike ride I am free most evenings just have to make sure it doesn't clash with phils riding time. I am free after 10:30 on sat mornings as phil does his early morning rides then and free on sunday mornings. As steve says post on the mtb section and if its a suitable time I'll be out. I know Annie would be interested in this too
