Hi All,
Myself and george are planning on a bit of climbing down at Scugdale on the saturday, weather depending of course. We may also do the Wainstones on the sunday.
All a bit vague at the mo, but will confirm towards the end of next week. If anyone wants to join in you're more than welcome. Just reply and we can sort out meet times etc, as and when. Probably gat there for 10ish at the lay-by anyway.
if you want some info on routes and how to access both venues go to
http://www.climbonline.co.uk/
and access north east action.
Cheeriothenoo,
Mike

Hi All,
Well it's one of those weekends where the weather may get the better of it!
Sunday looks like being the best day (but that depends on which forecast site you use), so if it's dry when I put my head out the door on sunday morning I think we'll be heading down to Scugdale, aiming to get there for mid morning.
Will have a chat with George about it later and if any changes we'll post it up.
Hey ho,
Mike

Meet report and video
Climbing at Scugdale 18 Feb 2007
Mike, George and I met up to climb at Scugdale on Sunday 18 Feb. It was a beautiful warm, sunny morning on the crag. The rock was warm enough to climb on. George was not climbing due to a chest infection, which was useful because it meant that he could video some of the climbing.
Climbs done (all top roped) included:
Stewker E1 5c
The Prow E1 5a
The Bulkhead HS 4b
Jack's Delight VS 4b
Eve (right side) E2 5b
Those who know about climbing grades will know that because all the climbs were top roped we can't claim the adjectival grades (E1, E2 etc), however I was quite satisfied with the 5b and 5c which were both quite challenging to get up even on a top rope.
Check the video links section on my website to see the videos.
