If anyone is interested in a february day activity still I was planning to organise something for this Sunday along the lines of a joint walk/cycle ride depending on your individual preferences and co-ordinating start and finish in the same place. One option could be a circular route around Byland Abbey at the foot of the Hambledon hills near Sutton Bank with suitably placed pub visit. If the weather is better North then similar thing on the South Tyne Trail between Haltwhistle and Alston ( not all of it) followed by a pub stop at the Cart Bog Inn.

as there was only a couple of us heading out tomorrow we were planning a cycle ride up Newcastle way - of course you are welcome to join us. I will send my mobile by email/pm and just text me tomorrow if you fancy joining us
