Paul,

The club climbs on a Tuesday night (Thursday if there is Pub meet on a Tuesday - this would be the first week of the month), We are currently climbing indoors, typically Newton Aycliuffe every two weeks and Newcastle and Sunderand alternated in the weeks we are not at Aycliffe. Keep an eye on the forum for where we are going each week.

Typically the cost to climb at an indoor wall is appx £6 to £7.50 depending on the wall. This would be for the evening session from 7.30 to appx 9.30 or 10pm. Some members also have a pint afterwards. The walls also have a membership fee on the first time you go, usually appx £5 per wwall,

Please be aware that the club would not accept responsability for your safety, we are not an instructing club, and though we would help and advise as friends and memebers of the club, we would strongly recomend that if you have not climbed before, you attend an induction at one of the indoor walls where you would learn from an expert instructor all the rope work you will need to be safe on the wall. These typicall cost appx £20 per session, or Sunderland wall do Groupon deals every now and then which includes membership.

Regaring gear, to get dtarted, just wear usualy sports gear and trainers, though a pair of decent rock shoes are advisable if you wish to progress. Most gear can be hired from walls for additional cost.
