Fiona's Farm - Saturday 9th June

Post by Wendy Lynch »

Fiona has kindly invited DMS members and their families to a BBQ and social event at her farm at Cornsay.

I will send Fiona's address by PM for those that are interested.

Fiona has some horses, donkeys and sheep (with lambs).

The plan is for people to arrive after lunch on the Saturday afternoon. There are options for walks, groom the animals or just chill. There is also a play park in the village for the younger family members. Have the BBQ about 4/5 o'clock.

Fiona has said there is some cycling routes nearby. So bring your bike if you want.

There is the option for people to camp in the field if they wish to stay the night. Toilet facilities are limited (girls in the house and boys behind a tree). Camper vans welcome as well.

Fiona has a barn, so if it rains we have shelter!

Please bring your own food, drink and BBQ. Camping chairs if you want a bit of comfort.

As Fiona has lambs on the farm there are no dogs allowed - sorry.

Please let me know if you/and your family are interested.

Wendy :)

As much as I like grooming animals & had hoped to bring my Staffordhire Bull Terrier along to eat a few of them, I can't make it as I'm going to this instead http://fortwilliamworldcup.co.uk

Hi Fiona,

This sounds great, and I would have been well up for the petting zoo, but I'm away on a work trip, booo!

If anyone is not going to Arran, I should be in my woodland for the Jubillee long weekend, so if any DMSers want to turn up with bunting, you're welcome to camp, and the treehouse is well underway, and dangerously high! ;)

yrs,

Beryl

Sadly due to lack of interest in this event.

We are going to have to cancel.

Thank you to Fiona for the offer of the hosting the BBQ. Hope that we can reschedule this when more people are around.

Thanks

Wendy
