Day walk - Saturday 20th Jan 2007

I am organising this and am rather taken by the idea of a stroll round Staithes which involves a pub lunch or fish and chips or both! There is plenty of coast walking - details to appear nearer the time.

Day walk Saturday 20th Jan

The consensus after the Patterdale weekend discussions is to go with the original idea - so it's a meeting at 10.30am at Runswick Bay to walk across fields and down a river to a chippy in Staithes, coming back via the coast path to the pub at Runswick ( which I've never been to so can't vouch for the quality) This is about 7 miles of easy walking I hope.
Please try to indicate if you are coming and perhaps share cars.

Sunny forecast for Saturday - ace! Could be cold. Debbie I don't know Runswick Bay really except it's dead small on the map and has only one car park. I'll try to get there a little before 10.30 and put Josh somewhere prominent! Anyone want to share a car from Durham or be picked up from somewhere easy in Darlington?

I'd love a lift from Durham, I live in Gilesgate but could meet anywhere in the vicinity.

I'm intrigued at the idea of 2 Pennies together! If you E mail on my hotmail I'll give you a phone number so you can call and I can get an address - Gilesgate is dead easy for me and I know it reasonably well by the location of pubs on it!

Hi again Penny

will see you there at 10.30

if any Darloids (darlingtonites?) need a lift then I can offer one

also wondering if it might be poss to do a bit of an extension to the walk (if not too cheeky Penny), or possibly some paddling/ kite flying on the beach at sandsend afterwards?
