Durham Luminiere festival - Friday 18th Nov

Anyone reading local papers would have seen all the publicity for the light festival being held in November with light 'sculptures' all over Durham. It was pretty stunning 2 years ago and there is even more planned this time.
I wondered if anyone fancied roaming round Durham to look at all the features on the Friday, followed by a few beers after perhaps at the Elm Tree. I don't think it clashes with anything else.
If so please post below or let me know at the pub night as it would be nice to have someone to go with.

After discussion last night, the plan is:
1 Meet at the Bridge 7pm Fri 18th
2. Cruise the installations with the crowd
3. Quench the thirst built up in the Elm Tree after!!
Anyone that will be later than 7pm will need to gain mobile numbers to catch us up!

Okay...me, Les, Sharon, Sue, Jenny, duncan, Nadine, Mark and Sally meeting at the Bridge at 7pm Friday. Anyone welcome and if you let me know you are coming we will wait for you for 2 seconds! If 7pm is difficult for you get in touch for mobile numbers and we can let you know where we are. Plan is to finish at the Elm Tree for refreshments after a long walk around the installations! The waterfall things from King's Bridge was being tested today....it looked good!

They are opening up county hall for parking so that's likely to be your best bet. Park and ride open as well but not sure for how long. Time moved back to 7.30pm as several struggling and we all want to be relaxed and happy!!!

We will be there too but may have to ring you to find out where you are. Mike you are more than welcome to park outside my house and walk down as traffic may be a bit brutal
In answer to slimfit the bridge is opposite to the turning for Durham station on North road. Just look for the massive viaduct as its near that
