My canoe trip got cancelled for the above weekend so does anyone fancy a day walk? I was thinking maybe the Border's Ridge - Windy Gyle or that area.

Okay...after the fantastic weekend in the Lakes and with all fired up we have Mike, myself, Maria and Graham from Sunderland as definite and Sue, Sharon, Les and Christine as maybes for a day walk next Sunday.
The plan is to meet at the old school car park at the end of the Coquet valley beyond Alwinton (grid ref - 866103). If the weather is good we'll head up to Windy Gyle on the border's ridge, along to Mozie's law and back. If not so good there are plenty of low level alternatives. All plans end with ice cream amd a cafe at Rothbury!!

It's about 1 hour 15 mins from Durham - I'm leaving at 9am just to be sure. Can always drink my flask of tea while waiting. Forecast pretty good and pleased Sam's mate coming to encourage more climbing lessons!!!
