Hi, weather forecast for sunday seems better than rest of weekend(according to bbc). Should we meet in carpark at coach and horses pub in swainby at 10.15? I think that is name for pub. We could then go to crag in one or two cars. Parking is limited at crag. I will bring a couple of ropes . This would be a great time for anyone wanting to try climbing or if you have never climbed outdoors. We could set up some top ropes, so don't worry if you have never lead climbed before. Please put your name on post if coming. Mike f I will text you about picking you up. Peter if you want to park your car at my house and then we can go to collect mike, let me know. Wendy

Peter, craig, mike f and myself made it to scugdale on sunday. We set up some top ropes in the morning on parsons nose and scots buttress. Good practise and warm up. Thanks to the elderley gentlemen with trekking poles for his encouragement (not) for using top ropes. In the afternoon we all did a lead climb on beginners slab. I was really pleased with this. Weather was ok, only one short hail shower. Crag was not very busy. We finished the day with a pint at the blackhorse in swainby, not a walker friendly pub. We had to leave boots outside and go barefoot! Looking forward to next days climbing. Wendy
