Taking place on Saturday April 10th is the 21st Allendale challenge in aid of NOTSRT.
Info & an entry form can be found on this link: http://www.northoftynesearchandrescue.o ... ndale.html

I'd like to point out that North of Tyne Search & Rescue is operated by unpaid volunteers & is funded by donations. They receive no government assistance.
They cover a 2000sq mile area from the Tyne valley up to the Scottish borders. This is an area that no doubt many of us enjoy walking, climbing & biking in.

I've always enjoyed this event which is attended by many other clubs and organisations. I'll be walking the 40KM but there is also a halfway mini bus back if you'd prefer a shorter walk.
It's also a good pre-summer season kick up the arse.

NOTSRT need our support, please post if you're coming along.

Well I seem to have roped a couple of mates along for what I'm sure will be a great day out.
Can't say I'm not disappointed at the lack of DMS interest considering we are a club full of walkers & it's in aid of a search & rescue op. :?
