60th birthday bash -30th June/1st July

As you all know I like to celebrate a birthday and especially the big ones!
For my 60th I would like to invite anyone who has known me over the years and who would like to come, to join me for a weekend at Nenthead in the Pennines - 30th June/1st July.
The plan would be to meet up Friday for a drink in the local pub. Saturday there is plenty of walking, mountain biking and touristy stuff around Alston. A local guy has offered a 4 hour mine tour if anyone fancies that for £30 but Killhope wheel is also very close and cheaper! I'll look after the strollers who aren't really hill walkers with a walk down to Alston and back.
Saturday evening bring a barbecue and stuff and Sunday, which is the big day I thought we could have a picnic breakfast and some mass games before everyone heads off.
Accommodation is available at several layers of poshness. For the rich there is Nenthead hall and several B and Bs in Alston, Allendale and Nenthead itself.
The weekend is based at Haggsbank bunk house. It has its own website so you can google it. This is a new bunkhouse with rooms of 5,9 and 11 beds with plenty of clean showers. This would cost £32 for the full weekend if all beds are taken, and you would need to book that directly from me on a first paid first in basis. I can make sure there is a single sex dorm for those who would prefer that.
There is also camping on site for £20 per person for the weekend or £10 for under 15s. Dogs allowed on the campsite and we will have exclusive use.
Anyone thinking of coming for a day it's a 40 minute drive from Durham at the top of weardale.
Please come along if you can make it and contact me with any questions. Anyone from my earlier days...Leeds uni or Lancaster please feel free to include anyone I may have missed. It would be fantastic to renew old acquaintances now we are all mature and sensible...ha ha
