Open House

The Open House is a restuarant run by two men, Phil and Chris at their home in Burnhope, County Durham. Guests are able to have their own private dinner party at the Open House. Party sizes are a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 12 people. They provide a 5 course meal, choices are selected prior to the evening. There is a vergatarian dish and they can cater for vegans. The food is really good. The cost is £28.00 per person. The Open House is very popular and it is quite difficult to get a booking.

I have provisionally booked a table for 8-12 people on Thursday 17th July 2008 and wondered if anyone from DMS would like to sample the lovely food and pleasant atmosphere of the Open House.

Please let me know if any one is interested.

I would need to have the full balance of £28.00 to secure the booking.

Menu for Open House:

Open House.

Summer Menu 2008.

To begin.
• Salad leaves with grilled goats cheese and passion fruit dressing.
• Tom Yam Mojito Shangri-La with a light chilli kick.
• Caprice mushrooms with bacon and Gruyere cheese.
• La Ronde exotic fruits of Thailand.
• Moroccan Chicken Kebab with onion, peppers, aubergine and light cous cous dressing.

For all to enjoy – Sorbet.

To follow:
• Grilled Tiger Prawns with fragrant wild rice.
• Rossini’s Pork Cutlet with roasted garlic potatoes.
• Home made deep dish Cottage Pie.
• Chefs Summer Salad with cold cuts of chicken, beef and ham.
• Mousaka Vegetable Bake.
All main courses served with a selection of fresh vegetables in season.

To conclude.
• Eneas’ Traditional Italian Tiramisu.
• Cherry Clafoutis.
• Tropical fruit Eton Mesas.
• Chocolate Amaretto Cheesecake.
• Raspberry and Drambuie Cranachan.

A selection of English and Continental Cheeses served with Fresh Fruit and Biscuits.

A bottomless Coffee Pot and After Dinner Chocolates.
