Jd

My plan is to make regular biking rides to build to towards the 7 staines challenge. I be sticking to weekend to start, not sure about 28th yet as it will be a bank holiday weekend. Check the forums again nearer the time for update.

Phil

PS what's your name?

Hi Phil

Unfortunately due to family commitments I can't make that weekend  or the weekend before.
I'm in the North East this weekend but that may be too early for your recovering knee?
How about an evening ride on Wednesday 25th?
Or a day ride on the weekend of the 28th?

Hi Jd

I am looking to get back into mountain biking after having a knee operation. The Doc say I can start biking from the mid of May. At first I will be riding on the local railway trails, steadily building up to hill rides and single track routes like at Hamsterley.

My goal will be to ride the http://www.7stanes.gov.uk in a single weekend in May 2012 8)

So to start the wheel turning.... how about a ride on Sunday 22 May, Starting at Broompark picnic site along Lanchester Valley Old Railway line, say 10am??

Hi - I was in the club a few years back. Want to join again but finding it a little difficult to get up to Durham for your pub meetings. I want to get back into mountain biking and wondered if anybody fancied some easy beginner rides. I've not sat on a bike for a few years and I'm very unfit so these would be at a very easy pace. Weekends are best for me but at a push could do a Wednesday night. I'm based down in North Yorshire near Richmond now so weekend rides could be either in Dales or the north east. Mid week evening rides would need to be south of Durham. Let me know if anybody interested. I'm also thinking of doing a skills course - anybody interested or done one and can suggest a good location?
