Pingu was my nickname at school because I looked like a penguin when I played cricket (according to my PE teacher and the rest of the team). Not really sure how I could of looked like a penguin that played cricket but enough people thought the name suited me and it stuck!

Since then I have used it as my login name for lots of stuff and it has followed me around ever since :P

Hi!

I'm Keith and guess what? I'm new to the club!

I signed up in November so I thought I would introduce myself on the forum!

So here is a bit about me and my interests -

- I live in Eaglescliffe which is near Stockton on Tees.
- I enjoy hill walking and scrambling especially in the Lakes, Scotland and North Wales (I have not been there in ages though)
- I also enjoy climbing - mainly trad routes but I don't climb at a very high grade (last lead was Donkey Ears on Shepherds Crag, Borrowdale). I don't get out as much as I would like, especially as my old housemate and my only friend I have climbed with recently was mad into bouldering.
- 2 years ago I did my one and only Alps trip, where I climbed Weissmies and Alphubel. It was very fun and I would love to do another :D
- I also enjoy mountain biking too. I ride mainly at trail centres, but I also like riding in the North York Moors and Lakes.
- I have never been skiing or snowboarding or canoeing/kayaking but I wouldn't mind giving them a ago :)
- Other interest include eating food, surfing and travelling.
- One day, I dream of owning a camper van which will become a base for all my hobbies!

I am really looking forward to meeting and getting to know you guys and hopefully we will have some fun in the hills!

Thanks for letting me join.

Cheers

Keith
